		<description>Hi Ellie,  During the thirties as I was growing up, there were two million hungry people.  The government then instituted what was called a relief program.  The hungry were directed to a relief station where the primary food available was mostly navy beans and other dried foods.  I clearly remember being in Milwaukee where one of my aunts, Ann Haahs, would routinely go to pick up the donated foods.
